Heat press printing on textile

A hot stamp on a shirt or fabric is printed on a film, which depending on the manufacturer is a very thin material. Hot stamping principle: in the case of a hot stamp on a shirt or fabric, the image is printed on a film and pressed onto the shirt or fabric at a temperature of 100°C-150°C. The hot stamping process is based on the type of material used. Hot stamping is mainly used for printing logos on workwear and promotional clothing. It is well suited for printing sponsor logos, numbers and names on sportswear and team uniforms. Also used for printing umbrellas, bags, decorative mattresses and more. The films hold their colour very well and do not bleed. Depending on the type of film, it can be washed in a washing programme at 60-90 degrees.

Advantages of hot-pressing on textiles:

can print a logo on a photon
can be produced quickly
can print in silver as well as gold, neon, chrome plated gold and much more. (on request)

Hot-pressed textiles have drawbacks:

cannot be printed on all materials
– e.g. fleece and other non-smooth fabrics, woven fabrics
– heat resistant materials e.g. some synthetic fabrics
cannot be printed over uneven seams, edges, etc.
cannot be printed on cotton lined jackets, as satin melts when exposed to heat
cannot be dry cleaned – to keep the logo print looking beautiful, clothes should be washed on a delicate cycle at 30°C
